Well this was mostly because people were too busy worshiping BBQ Corn to know that Chomper is AMAZING when someone knows how to use him. (especially on defense) Like Citron, Chomper can shut down overconfident Super Brainz, Imps (even mechs), and Scientists with any of his abilities. But he was written off as completely worthless.
Since GW1, the best Chompers have been either the Flame or Power variants. (Although I was a fan of Armor too) It's a bit disappointing that they lost their "penetration" against the armored zombies - but they're still solid against groups of zombies. But they're certainly not OP.
