I won't rule it out since PC players have been known to be able to hack and change the games on their system since pretty much forever and any inconsistencies in the video can always be attributed to the fact that someone had to work really hard to drag all that stuff out of the code, if they didn't just make a really creative hoax.
I'm personally content to wait the minimum two weeks that we have ahead of us for someone to actually complete the Trials and legitimately get to the end to see what awaits in those chests.

Here's from a more reliable youtuber of GW2 fan. Looks like it's a slam dunk.

This is a old video and it shows what others posted. Sure a leaderboard is reliable but pictures from someone else and no game play is not reliable

Seems like some very clever modding and a hoax. I don't think there will ever be any new character classes, and I don't think any new characters have even been added into the game yet. They wouldn't need to be, it'll still be months before anybody gets all of the keys to open one of those new chests, and before that happens, when the assets for any new variants have been added, they'll have sticker book pages - and that's the bare minimum if they want to keep them secret for a bit - but they'll probably announce them too, as they did with Toxic Citron and Breakfast Brainz.
