We are still having this issue. I paid to remove the ads a few months ago and then all of a sudden a couple weeks ago I start getting ads before going in the zen garden or between levels. I've completed both adventure modes and just go to the garden to collect my coins to buy the packs in the store.
If this doesn't get resolved, I will ask for a refund since I paid for ads to be removed and now they have returned.
I hate to throw the word "FRAUD" around, but if EA says that if you purchase to remove ads, but then FAILS to remove ads, that is a little on the fraud-y side. I paid to remove ads months ago and it worked fine for a moment, but now the last couple of times that I've tried to play the game all I get are ads CONSTANTLY playing: before every level, before every mini-game. I know this is an older game, but EA obviously has a glitch that needs to be fixed. I play both PVZ and PVZ2 and they are both hella glitchy. They appear to be fixing PVZ2, (very slowly, but it is still buggy) but you can't just let PVZ run on autopilot. The OS updates so the apps need to be updated accordingly.
Of course, I don't think that EA really cares at this point. They have their money and I have a game I refuse to play because I refuse to sit through ads that I paid to remove.
I'm having a similar issue on my android phone. Paid for ads. Still getting ads. Super weird because when I initially downloaded the game it did not have ads.
If you're going to run the ads even after purchase can you refund the people who paid for premium?
I just paid to remove ads and still the ads are on my game. Would be great I'd someone at EA could find a solution as it seems it has been 2 weeks with no solution...
