i call bs , most good decks do not require expensive cards.
your decks are just not good.
uhh, I am using a rare or below rarity deck, and I rank up really easily (when i spam it), so you defintiely don't need good cards to rank up.

Using solar flare strikethrough. It has a nice win rate but most importantly, the games are very quick, so I could grind faster. However, at rank 38, I am starting to lose momentum.

The leagues are designed to slow down your ranking, you're not losing momentum it's all just in your head...
Taco League is the worse man, good luck! 😢
Yes of course you need good cards, but you still need to know how to play, how to plan ahead, what cards to swap and how to completely nullify your opponents hero powers as much as possible and that just comes with experience and skill/memory.
I didn't spend a penny and I've got to the Ultimate League in 2-3 weeks. Sure I saved my gems to buy the premium pack bundles and then I just used and played the cards dealt to me, opened almost 70 Premium packs and only got one new Hero which sucked.
A general tip I can share with you is, try and use 2 of every decent card that you have available to you, if the card is extremely good then use 4. This should allow you to get close to 40 cards to an extent, then look and make sure you have a mixture of cards in terms of cost. Try and put in a few high cost cards which can turn the game around if you have them available to you.
During each game, pay attention to the cards you feel are working well for you, and which cards seem mediocre, filling your hand and just sitting there not doing much. Consider removing these completely for the cards that worked for you.
Your play style matters to what deck you build and use. It is a mistake to just play someone's deck and play because you may need to hold onto certain cards in order to win, but a new player won't know anything about it because they didn't make it.
You will have a lot more fun ranking up knowing you built the deck yourself, tweak it between games if you got completely smashed to give yourself motivation and excitement going into the next game and over time you'll have a very strong deck. Any good player should give you similar advice.

@Zaheen1337 I think we're playing different games. 2-3 weeks? It can not be true. Or it was before the global release.
