10 years agoHow is PvZ GW2 Vs GW1?
Purchased the first one the day it released, and was a completely random purchase that was not planed and didn't even know about it being released before hand. Cover looked fun, and wanted a new shoo...
Well first thing's first. I own Battlefront and if you like a generic shooter that offers absolutely nothing after the 'wow factor' of the first couple of hours then it's probably the game for you. If on the other hand you want something immersive, fluid and fun to play then avoid it like the plague. A quick trip to metacritic to view the user scores would be a huge benefit before considering the purchase of that game... Trust me, these people don't lie.
GW2.. It depends what you want to do with it. What you won't get is an immersive story mode that lasts for hundreds of hours or an open world single player environment that is packed full of things to do because the game still leans heavily towards multiplayer. Although the quality of the multiplayer in relation to GW1 is a purely a matter of personal taste, I will add that it still retains the core elements that made it such a good game in the first place. If you're prepared to overlook it's misgivings then i'm pretty sure you'll get a great deal of satisfaction from it, but if on the other hand you like GW1 to the point where any change is not necessarily a good thing then it may affect your judgement to the point where you just can't get along with it. Yes, I will openly admit to being guilty as charged on that front.
But when all is said and done, for what you pay for the game nowadays (it was half price on XB1 marketplace not long ago) and coupled with the fact that the game is continually expanding with FREE DLC then yes, GW2 is probably a good investment for a short-mid term experience. If you fancy the long haul of character upgrading / unlocking then what Zaheen is saying is pretty much spot on. It's not a 2 minute process but will guarantee you an awful lot more game time...
Go for it...But please, no more talk of Battlefront lol.
Sounds great! Don't remember the level achieved in GW1. Probably somewhere in the 40's /50's. My wife was in an automotive accident last year, and have two kids, plus full time college for the last 3 years. So my play time is usually an hour here and there on my XB1 - However, I get far more time on my gaming PC since it is not like the kids or my wife want it for anything.
Thought about buying it for PC, but worried about hackers.
