does anyone know how many people still play this game. And if it's worth buying this game.

To answer your question, yes it is worth buying but that's my opinion. If you're into shooters, yes. If not, you never know if you don't try. To joke around, the player base is OVER 9000!
In my opinion the PS4 community is still pretty healthy; you can usually find a decent lobby in any game mode, although some are more popular then others of course, and usually partial lobbies tend to fill up quickly.

not really, most 4v6 lobbies i find rarely fill up until round end it's like they don't put you in games in progressOne. Me. Or so you would think if you ever witnessed me getting placed in a game all by myself over and over again. This is an issue which was a problem in the previous game and to this day still hasn't been resolved. It seems that both Popcap and EA have nothing but contempt for their paying customers.

Yep, and it has absolutely no effect. I suspect that this is a tactic EA uses in order to cut down on server capacity. It seems that they have a quota system in operation, and PVZ GW has always been low down on their list of priorities. Oh well. At least they haven't totally butchered this franchise as they recently have with Mass Effect. But give them enough time and...
