How much coins do you lose when swapping team?

As Ive said before, Zombies is nothing for me. Therefor I swap at the start every time if I can. How much do you actually lose when swapping. 90% of the time its Zombies that pops up when I enter ...

Let's say you played as a zombie for 2 minutes and earned 2,000 coins. Then you decide to play as a plant so you switch, you lose the 2,000 coins and start at 0 on your plant until you earn some more. If you haven't even played as the zombie yet, you lose nothing.

Oh ok, so basicly when I swap right at the start I wont lose anything?
