How to counter superbrainz
(Because someone suggested it and I was bored with a potato internet,so here you are)
Alots of people are starting to have some trouble against superbrain. I can see why, unmatched at close range with his punch and multiple damage abilities and can still leave a mark at longer range with his laser, Combine that with super jump and heroic kick for movement as well as bunch of health and you have one tough zombie to deal with...However every super heroes have a weakness and superbrainz is no exception,so here a guide to deal with him :
General : Your first priority is to obviously make sure he don't get at close range,Use anything necessary to NOT let's him approach,he's at his best that close and is very hard to remove afterward, exception bring chomper which I'll explain later. Because of that,prefer to fight him in long range,even with the threat his laser,he's a big target then using it as he need to be in ground and aiming. So remember to abuse that.
He's also vulnerable when jumping so using some high-ground help a bit,even just climbing some obstacle when he's in range can allow you to avoid some damage.
His abilities :
Super ball (and his variant super multi ball): A ranged weapon which can hurt a bit at direct hit (120 damage for basic ; 60 x 3 for multi ball) and still do decent damage with AOE. He stop a bit to use it so that can be a good time to shoot him. But outside of that,well try to jump before it hit to try to get the least amount of damage from it.
Turbo twister : Superbrainz most dangerous ability and one of the main reason you want him out of close range. It periodically do damage and slow you when in range in top of giving him a hefty damage resistance. Which can easily keep you trapped without being able to do much to him,keep your disable/escape abilities handy to get out/stop him spinning if needed. Additionally if he try to move toward you with it but isn't got close enough to slow you,just turning around and running away until it end work better when trying to shoot though his 65% damage resistance. Also he can't jump during it,so getting some high-ground can nullify it.
Heroic kick : A forward kick that didn't do much damage (35 damage) but can be used to quickly get close-by. Careful in mid-range if he don't have it at cooldown as he can easily approach with it. Most dangerous when combo'd with turbo twister. So remember what I say above.
Variant specific :
Cosmic brainz : His laser can hurt quite a bit but his uncharged punch don't do much,so it not a bad idea to get close if he just spam his laser (although watch out for turbo twister still).
Electrobrainz : Avoid being near a teammate if he's around because his arc hurt ALOTS. Also his punch don't have any arc for info.
Class match-up :
Citron : Good match-up. Citron have bunch of tool to get out of melee range and harass him at longer range. Save EMPeach for when he decide to turbo twister,but citron ball hyper can be used to escape instead and if you're already at ball mode,you can ball charge him to cancel it too. Peel Shield can be used to tank a superball if you can't dodge it or just to eat some laser damage. In general,it mostly depend of that abilities you have available.
Rose : Weird match-up, while Rose can easily stop a superbrainz from going in a rampage,she struggle a bit to kill him at a 1v1 situation. Timesnare and goatify can both be used to stop turbo twister while arcane enigma can stall it out. Timesnare in particular make him a sitting duck as he can only punch during it. Remember to abuse your good jump to get out of punch range too.
Corn : Ok'ish matchup, using butter barrage in your feet can discourage him a bit to get at close range and he's a big enough target so that shuck shot can easily kill him. Save husk hop to get out of melee range while doing some damage to him (especially during turbo twister). Outside of that,it just a case of shooting him until he's ded.
Peashooter : Decent matchup,superbrainz is a big target for direct hit, pea gatling work wonder to prevent him to get in close range even with the threat of a super ball and hyper can be used to reposition yourself if he get in range or to escape. Poping a chili bean bomb in your feet can also work as a detergent if he get at close range.
Sunflower : Not much you can do by yourself, but sunbeam,like for pea gatling,can be used to damage him at bit at range...Or just her primary weapon.
Chomper : Unlike most plant, chomper actually want to get right at superbrain face. Mostly as he can easily bait him into a spikeweed even when he's turbo-twistering,which he can follow up for a shallow instant-kill. Goop also work wonder to stop him from jumping everywhere and burrow can be used to punish turbo twister abusing superbrainz. The only problems chomper is having his abilities at cooldown or having to face is superbrainz camping at some high-ground he can't reach. But if you managed to scare him into doing that,you can just let your teammate dealing with that coward.
Cactus : Like most zombie,cactus have no trouble sniping a superbrain at long range, although turbo twister and high health can make it a bit long. If he try to hit you with his laser,just hide quickly and try to find where he's shooting you from,shouldn't be hard with his laser,when retaliate.
If he get close,hope to bait it into a potato mine so that you can finish him off,if he pop turbo-twister,you can still try to block him with tall nut while running away. So yeah,standard cactus stuff.
