first you complete the plant and zombies missions. Then you unlock infinity time. then you play infinity time over, and over, you know infinity times.
What you'll first need to do is complete the solo quests for either the Plant or Zombie side; the "L.E.A.F." or "Top Zombie" quests. Completing either one unlocks Infinity Time for that side.
Once you've unlocked Infinity Time you'll need to play through it, and play through it well. Your best chance to receive a piece of a Party Time character variant is to collect at least 25,000 Time Shards which qualifies you for a prize from the Infinite Infinity Chest- which essentially means getting up to or past Wave 25 either by yourself or with a team of up to 4 Players including yourself. Getting vanquished with fewer Shards can still get you a character piece but the chances of that are reduced.
When specifically questing for the Party variants you should consider letting yourself get vanquished after you've passed 25,000 Time Shards because getting more than that will not increase your chances of getting a character piece or the number of awards you will get so there's little point in continuing unless you're trying to see how far you can get.
Pieces of the Party Time characters can also drop from the Infinity Time Sticker Packs which appear once in a while in the Sticker Shop for a limited time and when Rux appears in his shop in the sewers once a month he could possibly have a character piece to offer for a large price tag since he specifically stocks things that you don't already have.
The "fastest" way to get the characters unlocked is to play a lot of Infinity Time and to not get discouraged by the fact that you probably will need to invest a lot of time and energy into it before it pays off with what you're looking for instead of some customization item instead.
- If getting all the characters is a must for you, then yes, you will have to grind it out. The 25,000 shards is still not a guaranteed piece. Which can be frustrating at times. I don't know anyone that plays infinity time for fun. If you can wait it out and save your coins for the infinity packs that come out every so often, you can get them that way too. And when I say save your coins.... I mean you will probably need 25,000,000 in coins to get all of them. Sorry to say that's not an exaggeration. I spent 15 mil when I already had half the party characters. Lastly, if your trying to get them because you hope they're super awesome, and will be a game changer for you....well then I'll let somebody else answer that. Unfortunately I have nothing nice to say about any of the party characters for what you have to go through to get them. Not trying to be a nay sayer, just trying to save you hours, excuse me, days of redundant gameplay.
I actually play Infinity Time for fun, just to see how far I can get before the Gnomes, Floaties, Nemesis forces and Singularities overwhelm me. I haven't played it in a bit because I'm trying to concentrate on getting all the characters to Master but I'll probably be doing Infinity Time for fun again after that.
- Glad you still enjoy it. I just got burnt out to due not getting character pieces after reaching the 25,000 or more shards. I certainly don't want to distract other people from trying. It's just not for me. I strongly feel that the reward should be greater than what you receive. My man quarrel with the party characters. If you could control when you choose to activate party mode, it would be greatly beneficial. I'm just stating to the original thread starter that it is not a quick fix to get all of the party characters. And based on his or her experience it could be difficult to get that many shards. I have my methods to get there every time. But if you don't have a good game plan, it could take someone a long time to get the party characters through playing infinity time alone.
I certainly agree about the frustration of the awards paid out t the end of a good Infinity Time session.
When questing for the Party character pieces I lost track of how many rainbow colored or wireframe style accessories were given out instead of a character piece not to mention those incredibly disappointing bundles of coins that got dropped on me from an Infinite Infinity Chest, as if I was investing an hour or more of my time for an amount of coins I could earn in 20 minutes in another game mode.
It's probably why I switched my mindset to playing just when I was in the mood to see how far I could get by myself and not playing it more than once every day or two. Infinity Time is definitely a hard grind.
