How to get your Cheetos codes working

I would advise against trying to guess your last character, as you may just end up stealing someone elses code.

Much less tedious and probably best for those who dont want to spend an hour or two guessing.
- I thought the codes would have been based on a sequence and not just randomly generated. But then I realized later that it would be stupid and just make it easier to steal someone else's code. Edited so that people just look to your post.

I don't want to have to tweet Jenni to get this done. I'm sure she has a life too!My kid has a code; I entered it into the Playstation Store Redeem Codes area. When I open Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, we cannot find the new characters.
When I enter the Cheetos code directed into the PvZGW Redeem Code area, I get an error message that it's invalid or already used.
I am on the Cheetos/PvZGW website attempting to get the full 20+step process up again to re-read it and see where I went wrong. But you can't go to that page again unless you enter a new code. Sigh.
Perhaps I was supposed to go into PvZGW directly to redeem the code?
What now?
If anyone could copy and paste the instructions from the Cheetos/PvZGW site, I'd appreciate it.

This is pretty much exactly what happened to me, but on the XBox 360. I did tweet Jenni, but she said she doesn't have the instructions with her and to check back on Monday. I would think it's something pretty straightforward, but it's been about 36 hours now and I can't figure it out LOL.
