Hey! I figured it out for the Xbox 360. If you redeemed on XBox.com and your characters aren't showing up:
Go to Settings/Account Management/Purchase History. It should be the most recent item on the list. Select it and choose "Download Again." Boom--it'll show up in game. 108kb download.
