How to Play Team Vanquish

There are two strategies to winning matches in this game mode:

1. Camp the middle / highest point of the map.

2. Spawn rush the opposing team.

1. At the beginning of the match, it's anyone's game. Whoever prevails is who will take all. It's all or nothing, so don't sleep during this mode. Once Crazy Dave or Dr. Zomboss begin rambling about you or their lives at stake, literally sprint to the center and brace for chaos to erupt. In maps like Pressure Pier, try and control the lighthouse portion so enemies have to attack from lower ground. If you manage to wipe out all enemy forces, protect it with your life. If you fail, flank the enemy team so they're getting attacked on multiple sides. (BTW, I'm going into this knowing that you're team won't be organized). Your spawn depends on where the enemy team is least active at. So in Daisy Drive, if plants are near the treehouse, zombies would spawn by the gas station.

2. Spawn rushing is a term taken from Rainbow 6 Siege where attackers race to the building without any real strategy (and turning it into a real strategy). Pretty much do the same strategy as the first for the beginning; rush to middle and hope that you and your team win. This time, you stay alive and sprint to where you and your team are occupying the least. In Pressure Pier (best map), if you're by the lighthouse, the opposing team is likely spawning by the beach. You pretty much sprint on over there and they'll immediately be surprised after getting brutally pounded by the forces of the dead / vegetation. If YOU'RE the victim of spawn rushing, this may sound counter-intuitive, but vanquish yourself to get a head start so the spawn rushers get rushed on your teammates they're rushing.

It's also important to know your role; if you're Nightcap, you wanna distract zombies and flank them. If you're All-Star, you're best with strategy 1. Also, I say talk about these strategies since Team Vanquish isn't a game mode with specific strategies. These two are great on your own but very effective with an organized team. That said, always stick with your team and fill in roles that aren't fulfilled. Remember to revive and don't fight on the edges. There are probably more effective strategies but they likely take more organization and skill. Post over.

  • @Fork_x_Spoon This is a great guide, I do not play Team Vanquish all that often and I have never heard about these tips before, except in GW2, basically in Time Park, you want your team to have control of the middle and then to fight off enemies that come through the portals, at least that’s what Wolfy Playz said anyway. So I learnt a lot by reading your tips.

Would you like me to add this post to my collection of guides in my guide post thread?

@TheSprinter85 You can if you wanna. I wouldn't consider this a guide because it's a literal cheat sheet to winning a game mode. So you could classify this as a guide but I wouldn't. I'll be making more of these, so if you want to add this to the long list of guides the community has made, you're more than welcome.

@Fork_x_Spoon No problem, I will. 🙂 I was going to make a guide on Team Vanquish, but I think that you made a pretty good guide/cheat sheet, so I will include yours instead! I can see this guide being really useful. Which other guides do you plan on making? 🤔

@TheSprinter85 I was thinking of doing one for Gnome Bomb, Suburbanation and Giddy Park spawn camping. I was gonna do the rest of the game modes, but I don't have enough experience to really have dumb strategies to winning them, but these I can do.
  • I usually don't play Team Vanquish, and I think players should find your allies, not your enemies... is it right?

You don't know where are enemies, and you know where are allies. And even if you find an enemy, that enemy may have his allies.

So it is good that you go straight to your allies, in my opinion, but I'm not sure because usually don't play Team Vanquish...

@Fork_x_Spoon I will create guides on Turf Takeover and Battle Arena then. I will read each of your guides/cheat sheets!
