This effect needs to be altered somehow. It completely makes me dizzy to the point I need to get up, walk away from it and rest my eyes. This has bothered me from Picnic through today. As much as I enjoy this game, it's literally the headache I do not need while playing it. I'm sure the effect can be achieved through other means.

There's no denying that and it should just effect the characters, not the people playing the game. I'm not one of those people susceptible to strobe sensitivity but this one effect just hurts to the point where it gives me a super-sized headache and my son also can't handle the effect of it either. This can be changed to make the camera view wobble or disorient in some way. The current effect has an undesirable effect when there are multiple hypno-shrooms around and they go off more than once. It forces me to shut the game off and do something else.
@AgentRaygun66It is very disorienting, though up til now I'd never really considered that it might be too strong an effect.
I generally try to get rid of them before they get too close but I do remember finding them nightmarish during the Zombie Town Centre quests...
Is it in the PvE region you find them particularly bad, or just anywhere?
Did you / your son play GW2? It's been a while since I tangled with a hypno-shroom in there but I don't remember the effect being as strong, so interested to know if you thought the same 🤔
@AgentRaygun66 Oh dear.. really sorry to hear that hypno shroom has this effect on you and your son, that is not good at all ☹️
Personally however, I have always loved hypno shroom and hypno flower... they always makes me giggle for some reason and add a different slant to everything.
However that said its not good if it is making folk feel unwell and headachey... I wonder if this is a common thing that people experience? Perhaps something Popcap should look at if thats the case.
