Really you could actually join multiplayer? And you friends could somehow connect to your specific game server? Damn. You are a lucky man.

yea some how it was working for me and all of my friends. I wish i had a trick otherwise i would gladly share.

True story. I've seen 2 different people post that they were able to play at one point. I'm just sitting over here on the menus pressing "Search for game" over and over again to see the same depressing message every time T_T

Yea I even finally found a game my GF would play with me and she is next to me able to connect to lobbies/games on her computer also. I really don't understand.
Are your NATs open?

This does work, you or your friend just needs to be in an active game. However this was the same way in the console verison too 😉. The only lobby that you can actually invite players is in Garden Ops when you make a private game.

Yes which is rediculous... how do you have a match making game and not have a chance to create a lobby wtih friends before searching for a game. It keeps things organized.
If you don't want lobbies, create dedicated servers.
