I tried GW2 for the first time...

With everyone here talking about how great GW2 was I just had to try it. Well, besides the different weapons and cool skins I didn’t think it was anywhere near BFN in terms of gameplay. I’m not a pro gamer and can’t put my finger on exacts but something with the look and feel of the game was not for me. BFN has its problems but I do think the game has headed in the right direction. I think the GW2 hype has a lot to do with nostalgia. I’m sure the game was great when it came out but I do believe BFN is an improvement. Hopefully the GW2 lovers don’t see this as me hating on it, I have older gen games that I love too. But I hope everyone can start to see how BFN is an improvement on the PVZ title. Anyways, just my POV.

@Pheesley I agree that damage drop-off should be added. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you again for your detailed posts about these issues 😃.

I just had some doubts about damage drop-off because the game wasn't built around it. I thought with the big maps all modes would feel like Turf Takeover Tactical, where you wouldn't find anyone for minutes until you realize they all are at one location somewhere in the distance. They could eliminate such doubts by having a weekly event to test it, though.

My opinion, since the topic came up on the forums, has always been that I support drop-off, but question if BfN would still benefit from it. After all, players are used to it and if they don't do a large update in the likes of "BfN: Phase 2" the player base wouldn't increase by much. I thought such a fundamental change to the game would only scare those away that still play it. On the other side of things, there probably are many who would leave if they didn't add it.

And I feel like your totally right with your point that drop-off would make balancing certain classes way easier. Snapdragon, for example. Many think he is op at the moment because of his range. If he dealt more damage the closer he were, such issues would be eliminated.
