As a side note, I only made this thread to have an excuse for showing all of you the video 🙂. I vanquished 3 imps at once! I even managed to get revenge from the grave on the Electric Slide after taunting haha 🙂. I still felt like discussion Imp after the patch, so I combined the two topics.
@Stringer2048 It's just that the memories from GW2 always haunt me, haha 🙂
I don't think he is underpowered in BfN, especially after the patch.
After the rate of fire increase he was already way better than most seemed to realize. I was still able to perform pretty well with him.
I agreed that he needed buffs. I like the sprinting animation and all, but don't think z-Mech needs armor, considering sprint enables him to dodge most abilities now.
And the melee attacks for Wildflower & TV Head deal 50 damage, but there is a pretty large delay between attacks. It also disables you from firing your primary for quite some time, so I think it's not as bad as it sounds, but 40 damage would have been enough.
@gametrieuk I agree we should treat the characters equally when considering balancing. I actually do play as Imp a lot, but there is one thing that makes me really feel like he is just unfair: Explosive Escape. His reward for exiting Mech early should be that he himself doesn't blow up. Explosive Escape is very unfair, in my opinion. The game is largely based around capturing points, and he can easily capture every point with it.
Especially now that z-Mech can sprint and has armor, explosive escape should be removed.
People always said the Mech needs buffs because he should win every 1v1, 1v2 and even 1v3 and so on. But I, in turn, think "normal" Imp shouldn't be able to win 1v2s and 1v3s then, which he can easily do with his hard to hit bunny hopping and extremely strong Impkata. z-Mech still doesn't punish Imp if he doesn't exit before running out of health and still completely recharges his health. It doesn't feel like you need to survive the "weak" imp playing part to get to the powerful z-Mech. Imp is good now, and the z-Mech is great. There is now downside to him anymore, in my opinion. The low health isn't a problem with bunny hopping. And the Mech Hunter upgrade just makes this worse.
