Fake. You got a part character piece. It would have been real if you got 5K coins like I get. Every occasion a hat, but it's clear you glitched/cheated to get the piece.
Keep in mind this was pre GV, where the drops for pieces were pretty much guaranteed @25k.
Also Infinity isn't that hard if you play it correctly. Just don't pick up shards until the boss waves.
