Hey all! UnofficialITGuy here (or “bass_hit” on PSN). Stumbled upon PvZ: when it was on sale this past December on Switch and found myself playing it a lot. Eats up most of my gaming time while currently trying to 100% it. Figured I’d post an intro here after commenting on a few technical threads.
I’m based in Central TX but originally from Southern VT. Day job is in Tech Support (shocker) and I’m in my late 30s. When I’m not gaming, I’m roller skating, going to local concerts when I can, or tinkering with some kind of technical project (like making everything in the house HomeKit compatible). I have a son who loves PvZ1&2 but isn’t really into the shooters. Kid is awesome tho.
As far as the intro questions…
Which platform do you prefer to log into and why?
I remember playing PvZ when it first came out and playing it on my family’s PC. My mom loved it and played it daily until she had to get a newer Mac and 32-bit apps wouldn’t open anymore. For Christmas though, I found a solution and got her copy of PvZ running using PortingKit.
I’m a Mac user so most gaming is done through virtualization or consoles. I’ve always been a Nintendo fanboy so my Switch has been my go-to console since launch. I do have a PS5 that I use mostly for media playback but have been gaming more on that as of late. Been really enjoying BfN a lot. I have 100% on the 4 free roaming areas; 4 prize maps left to do; currently grinding in Ops to get all characters to Grand Master level. Sad that I’ve there is no more single player areas to explore ☹️
Plants or Zombies? You decide!
Zombies! Plants are alright but 80s Action Hero, Electric Slide (love seeing roller skating represented), and the Wizard are 🔥
I have Stockholm syndrome for Rose (reason why in next question below)
Which modes and maps are your favorites to battle in?
I’ve got the Flats in Ops down 💯 since finally clearing the Rose ops mission after hours of grinding. Planets aligned, gardenator saved. Last 1% earned.
Let's not forget about the merch! Do you have any unique items to share?
No merch per say but my SteelSeries TKL Pro LCD is home to a little Sunflower
See ya around the Neighborville!
@UnofficialITGuy Thank you for the post! By all means, feel free to post on any thread you would like. The more the merrier!
