If it's Windows 8 you can "Reset" or "Refresh" the PC quite easily. Otherwise on Win7 you could try just rolling back to an early restore point.

I found a solution by searching the internet.
The OS for my computer is Windows Vista 64bit Home Premium.
Here is the solution from internet:
Install Vista Service pack 2 ---- > http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17669 [microsoft.com] (This is for vista-64bit)
Run DXsetup in the Origin\ Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare \__Installer\directx\redist\DXsetup.exe
Then Install DX 11 -----> http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4390 [microsoft.com] (64bit)
Restart.However, now I have a new error when clicking the "Play" button in Origin client:
“nvidia geforce 9300ge gpu does not support directx 10.0 which is required”.
Any suggestions?

Version: 340.52 WHQL Release Date: 2014.7.29 All I did was located the dxgi.dll on my system and replaced it with one i found on DLLFixer.com or something and it worked. 64 BIT WINDOWS XP-10, and one for 32 BIT WINDOWS XP-10
A dxgi.dll file is a DirectX Graphics Infrastructure.
