[Issue Resolved] - PvZ Garden Warfare 1 - Matchmaking Failed Error

@Montaignes I get it but it isn't as easy as having people jump in and update a game of this age like it used to be. I can add my own game to the list too but I am trying to see what we can do for everyone so we can get you back into the game.

For those still running into this error, we need the following from you, please.

  • What is your Gamertag/PSN ID/EA ID? 
  • Date/time issue first occurred?
  • What type of issue do you have? 
  • Which mode has this happened in? 
  • Which part of the mode? 
  • Summarize your bug 
  • How often does the bug occur? 
  • Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 
  • What happens when the bug occurs?
  • What steps have you taken on your end to resolve the issue?

  • Product: Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 
  • Platform: PS4
  • Which console generation do you have? 8th
  • What is your Gamertag/PSN ID/EA ID? Dreadzilla28 
  • Date/time issue first occurred? 11 Dec 2023, 1900 CST
  • What type of issue do you have? Matchmaking error due to server issue.
  • Which mode has this happened in? Multiplayer for any match type
  • Which part of the mode? All
  • Summarize your bug. Game will not allow others to connect for online multiplayer due to some server issue.
  • How often does the bug occur? Every attempt to play now.
  • Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try the online multiplayer with multiple people to confirm. 
  • What happens when the bug occurs? The game either says matchmaking error, loads a black screen that never ends or puts me into a lobby by myself on a rare occasion. No one else can join.
  • What steps have you taken on your end to resolve the issue? Ensured up to date version and firmware.

This started on Dec 11 this year. I've been playing the game online for 2 weeks straight, everyday. I was shocked at how active it was and was having a blast. Now this issue is preventing all of us from connecting.

    For the last week I received this message in plants vs zombies, “Matchmaking failed”.  Anyone else get this? Any way to resolve?
