Its about to be a year since founders...

Has anybody been playing since founders, or even alpha picnic testing? I've been since day 2 of founders (because I was waiting for it to finish downloading on the first). That said, I've only been on this forum since January because I lost all hope into the community until I found this, at which point I decided to make this my primary source of discussion, leaving the toxic subreddit and Discord server. Speaking of you guys, I just wanna thank you all for supporting this game no matter how long you've been doing it. We all know that playing this game is more work than play, but looking back at all we've achieved, it's safe to say we helped and came through a lot of the stuff that were thrown at us. From founders, this game has:

-Monthly prize maps with amazing cosmetics and often legendary upgrade or character.

-Rux which now takes rainbow stars for the best cosmetics this franchise has seen.

-Ranked Battle Arena for competitive PvZ players and more rewards.

-Return of Private Play with some more options.

-Ops Phase 2 that improved Operations in multiple ways, notably elite boss waves.

-4 legendary upgrades that fill the missing bar of variants.

-New characters, released and upcoming.

-Many updates that greatly improved character balancing.

-Improved optimization with less lag than founders especially and

-several UI changes that helped new players come and join the fight!

Of course, I haven't forgotten their shortcomings either. Whether that be:

-Lack of drop off damage.

-Battle Arena's long lobby searches and wins not counting.

-Monetization and elusive pay-to-win methods.

-Lack of multiple, plentiful variants.

-The continuous need of major balance patches.

-Lack of PvE replayability.

-Removal of Mixed Modes.

-Unoriginal and unbalanced weekly game modes.

-Still bare bones Ops, need of Phase 3.

-Rampant bugs roaming around Neighborville.

-Difficulty of earning monetized currency (rainbow stars).

-No advertising whatsoever.

-AI bot backfill and

-Lack of communicatoin

So yeah, this game has went through quite some beef, but it has been nearly finished, all that's left is to see what PopCap have in store for us. Being quiet doesn't mean that they don't have anything; who knows, they could probably be ready with variants, and new PvE regions. That's extremely unlikely, but we'll have to just wait and see. For now, though, I'm currently writing my review and tier list for (what I consider) the game's first year anniversary. Until then, how long have you've been playing the game and on this forum, and what has been your experience like here?
