You need to make sure that all players are Online before joining, otherwise it won't let you invite your friends. Another key feature is to make sure that the friend your are tying to join does not have his backyard set to "Invite Only", which is most likely the case here.
Sort these options and I'm positive that you'll be able to join them.
- Anonymous10 years agoOne person did sign in prior to me joining. We will try again and I will report back to confirm that it's working.

I'm pretty sure you can't be Split-Screen AND join online-multiplayer with others. It's one or the other as far as I was aware (local split screen or online-multiplayer, not both).

This is what I found it to be. I was split screen with my son playing and I tried to invite a friend to no avail. Which stinks up to 4 can co-op so long as they all have their on platforms to play on.
