Just bought the Game but can't download the update

We purchased PvZ for PS4 at Walmart. When we try to start the game it says we must download the update. We have restart the game several times as well as the PS4. We are logged in the PSN. The console has been updated. There is no indication that a game update is in process nor any button to activate an update.

    Try going into your game content and deleting all the Garden Warfare content (Saves are on the cloud)

    Then redownload the game/updates.  Updates should download automatically after booting the title. 

    Then reboot the console.

    Let us know if that works!
