I updated the Intel and Nvdia Driver. Set the Nvdia as global standard aswell as for every applicaition of PvZGW2 i could find.
Sadly GW2 isnt shown in my Nvdia Experience. Could my Dxdiag or something like that help anyone.
Thanks for the time in advance
Try this: right click on the desktop and go into nvidia control panel. From there go to manage 3D settings tab and change both the global and program settings. In the programs drop down choose PvZ and under that change the preferred graphics processor from auto to high performance gpu and hit apply. I think NIVIDIA is still not using itself to open the game..... If this still doesn't work sorry i cannot help. But good luck!!

Hi, IDRCSFAM--I'm glad you got it working briefly, as that gives hope we can find a more permanent solution for you. It does seem to be related to your PC defaulting back to Intel graphics. Can you please PM me your DXDIAG and we'll see what we can do.

PM's are disabled for your account. Here goes the DxDiag.
Im happy to provide everything to solve this. - ApprovedAnonymous10 years ago
My PM account permission issue is being investigated now - weird!
So tsangtselai's solution should work. Put plainly:
1. Right click on your desktop.
2. Select “Nvidia control panel”
3. Select “Manage 3D Settings” from the option in the left-hand panel
4. Select "Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2"; if PvZ:GW2 is not in the list, select the "Add" button, and choose PvZ: GW2 from the list that will appear.
5. Select "Nvidia Graphics card" under "Preferred graphics processor" in place of "auto-select" (see attached screenshot)
6. Hit "Apply"
Make sure these settings save, because they need to be set like this when you load the game. Let me know if this helps! - ApprovedAnonymous10 years ago
Ehhm isnt that what everyone else wanted me to do? (Edit: Thats what you said)
Set it yesterday evening on that. Can apply some pictures if im simply stupid or thats not the solution.http://www.upload-pictures.de/bild.php/95931,system1DRI0F.png

Im German but the beautiful word "Hochleistungsprozessor" means High-preformance processor
I hope links of the pictures are okay. No idea how to insert them.
Edit #2: Is the Intro video skipable? It was a pleasure to watch but im a little anoyed to be forced to watch it.
Would safe me some trying time

Yep, I just wanted to provide detailed steps to make sure everything was done correctly.
- With your settings applied like that, try restarting your PC, then booting the game.
Also, question: you said that you got it to work briefly--did it suddenly stop working while you were playing? Or did you quit playing, then start the game again only to have it not work? - ApprovedAnonymous10 years ago
Rebooted. Still not working.
Funny thing is, it suddenly worked. I wasnt sure if i had to watch the first cutscene and the intro.
When in sunflower i always alt + tabbed out of the game and tryed some options. And suddenly it worked.
Then i solo played a bit and wanted to try a Multiplayer game. Came in a empty room and pressed Leave game
(I thought it meant the Multiplayer Game, noticed the terrible mistake afterwards)
Started it again without changing any of my settings. Same problem as earlierAt least i now can watch my Grunt staring at the Zombie questboard.
One thing i noticed though is: Yesterday my Driver wasnt updated and it auto changed the global settings back all the time
Everytime i tabbed out of the Options back in the game. The Application was blinking everytime it changed somethingNow it is still blinking when i change something and tab in and out. But the Options stay the same
Sorry if my English isnt that well right now but im kinda tired 🙂
Edit: Please tell me if the first cutscenes are skipable

I've forwarded your dxdiag on to get it investigated. In the meantime I suggest trying to find settings that work now that it's not automatically reverting back to default, as it was doing yesterday.
Try not alt-tabbing at all after launching the game--just wait for it to load, to see if it will help. I will try to get back to you as quickly as possible tomorrow--I have to leave the office now, sorry! - ApprovedAnonymous10 years ago
On last information before i go to sleep aswell.
I can move my mouse courser as long as im not in the backyard.
Kinda strange aswell

This solved my problem 100%. I have MSI AlL in One Gaming with intel HD4600 and NVidia 860m. Instead of giving the high performance gpu to the app directly I have set to use high performance at all times.

Im pretty sure i tryed every possible option ingame and before the game.
I even have the same combo. If anyone hears anything new i would appreciate it.
And again the question... is it possible to skip the intro movie?
I watched it like 50 times now. Starts to getting anoying.

The intro video should be skippable (a mouse click, for instance, should skip it).
Are you running the game in full screen or windowed mode? - ApprovedAnonymous10 years ago
Full screen
Edit: I just found a way to reproduce what i did. I just alt + tab out. Right click on my desktop. Then the Computer lags for about 1 sec.
Then i pull my mouse up and click into the small PVZGW2 window... i can use everything. Strange fix for me. But it works.
I reproduced it about 3 times now with perfect timing. Idc about any fix. It works. I did it. Im happy. Thanks anyway for all of your solutions.Edit#2: If anybody got the same problem as me. Im happy to provide a video tutorial or stuff like that. Just pm me

I'll pass this along to those investigating; hopefully we can get you a proper solution. In the meantime, I am happy you're able to play!

We are experiencing the same problem on a Asus laptop with Intel and Nvidia GPU. Tried all the suggested tricks, and also got it to work briefly, but not anymore. A stable fix is greatly appreciated.
