@chogath_player That's exactly what I've been talking about in here. But in another way.
I agree with you. I've seen many Nightcap players play Kamikaze around the objective, when you're supposed to be flanking as her, hiding in the sides, taking down enemies by surprise. Yet you see people playing her as a Peashooter or Kernel Corn. I'm fine with however you play your favorite heroes, but if others can outperform you using the same exact hero, then you probably should start thinking about getting better and stop blaming the character.
Same thing applies to Chomper too... I see many Chompers burrow, swallow a Zombie and end up 1v4 in the middle of nowhere, having zero allies to back him up. "What are you trying to achieve?!" is a question I always ask myself. What's the point, really? if you're going to Kamikaze all the time, rinse and repeat...
I have interesting data from "another game"... It's Overwatch's Competitive Ranking and I think it can apply to most players in different games as well:
Bronze - 8%
Silver - 21%
Gold - 32% <- Bronze, Silver and Gold combined = 62%
Platinum - 25% <- Acceptably good, where most players should be at after playing for long
Diamond - 10% <- Excellent (This is where most solo players end)
Master - 3% <- Master and above can be achieved easier with coordinating teammates or parties, not saying it's impossible for solo, but it can be a lottery sometimes.
Grandmaster - 1%
Ranks from Bronze (not knowing what the hell the game is about or how to use the abilities at all) to Gold (not understanding how their heroes function properly or have poor aiming/positioning/ability triggering skills) counters for 62% of the whole game! That means the chances of your team being unreliable in any game are high and not even 50%.
In Platinum, we have those players who get it. They understand their heroes, but have few mistakes here and there. Diamond players over-achieve, they get the maximum potential of their heroes very well with high experience. Master/Grandmaster ranks reward players who communicate and rely on the whole team to win, rather than the individual performance while also having high skills of diamond, in most cases that is. That was all just my personal analysis of those ranks, watching many videos of YouTubers coaching other players.
I assume when they made BFN; the developers balanced the game mostly around Platinum players (assuming play testers at PopCap have experience with other games and understand what's going on) and that's why most players struggle to achieve better. They don't understand the heroes as much as the play testers/developers do. And I won't say or dictate that you should play hero ABC this way, it's all up to you! But in other games, there are "optimal ways" to use certain heroes to achieve their maximum potential.
I'm afraid, in most case scenarios, Fung Fu had just become the new Impkata. A useless ability that endangers you more than benefit you. I prefer using the main weapon than restraining myself for a few seconds and having nothing to do about it.
About Rose... She.. umm... err... uhhh.....ee..... nevermind! *remembers "I don't care what you have to say"*
But seriously, what are you trying to achieve as her? What's wrong with her to you? Begging to lose? I think you should "LEARN THE GAME BEFORE YOU WRITE CHARACTERS OFF"!
No offense really... She's one of the heroes I don't understand why people struggle with or think she's pointless when she has too much usability and can have a huge impact in games when used correctly.
* Edit: Format

The plants have nothing like him. You could say Rose is like engineer but honestly shes not. Rose has lower dps compared to the engi, even without the turret next to him. Rose can't do anything offensive with her speed boost as all her abilities are completely disabled while doing so. "but its good for speeding up teammates to the objective". engineer is allowed to speed boost allies for what seems to be as long as the boost pad lives. He doesn't need to be near the zombies to give them speed boosts, and he can attack while speeding them up. The turret aimbots everyone, and in a game where some of the zombies on ur team can't hit anything, engis turret usually out dpss them anyways. IT ALSO INCREASES THE DPS OF ALL NEARBY ZOMBIES. Rose jinx can actually be dodged if they go around corners. Even if it misses it goes on cd. Engis turret is on a god damn 10 second cd WOT. Roses goatify is complete buttcheeeks compared to the stun grenade. its heavily telegraphed, easy to dodge, and actually helps zombies in mallow mortar + gnome bomb, as it makes them smaller, faster and harder to hit. Stun mines dont have a big wind up animation, covers up a massive area (essentially blocking that area off unless a plant tanks all the mines), and completely immobilises the plant.
In short rose is like a bad version of engineer with a bad version of space cadets primary fire. She is a liability to the team in most cases and is better off being avoided until buffed or Engineer, Scientist or Super Brainz are nerfed.
You would be much more useful to your team if you were to play a n y o t h e r c h a r a c t e r (for now).
I know how to play her, as I managed to get her to masters. Took me 11 whole years because she can only get assists even if she does 98% of a zombies health in. She gets no xp for goatifying or speeding someone up aswell. I don't lose games with the character. Its just surprisingly more difficult to do good in a game while playing Rose compared to any other character in the game. Which is so weird seeing that her primary fire is a homing weapon. I suppose you could say the trade off for having a homing weapon is less dmg output than someone who has to aim? But then you have space Cadets and homing peas ]:P
The only viable in her entire upgrade tree is Time snare. Everyone uses it. Because all the other upgrades are useless.
I would have to say her only saving grace atm is her Arcane Enigma. Despite it being a worse version of engis speed boost it does have its uses. She IS aloud to revive players while being completely invincible and it IS handy for stalling capture points while the team is respawning or something. That's about it though honestly.
I know I said I don't care what you have to say", but I'm very interested in hearing about what you think makes her so good. After playing her for 8 hours I'm honestly lost as to what makes her useful. Surely you play with mates or something. A coordinated team of plants may be able to make some use out of her. But coordinated play in bfn aint commonplace ]:P
