The problem with party variants is they can't get into party mode.
Their base damage is way too low.
Party Imp cannot beat Citron w/o a full clip+ impkata. I'm not even sure he can do with his damage upgrade which I haven't gotten yet.
Party Rose needs to land every shot to vanquish anything with 125 HP. She can crit for 8 dmg with upgrade, but since her shots home its not easy to aim for the head.
Party Citron is as weak as Party Imp. Only thing giving him a fighting chance is his 200 HP.
Party Corn is actually the only party variant with solid base damage, but even that is considerably low.
I don't think I've been into party mode in multiplayer as the imp.

They could count assists as half a vanquish for party mode, and also perhaps allow Z-Mech vanquishes to get you into party mode for the Imp.

The main problem I have with most party char in general is that they're just way too hard to get party mode with in multiplayer. Making assist and shared vanquish give meter would help them a bit already.
They're good variant for ops at least.
