Let’s talk about Snap Dragon

Snap Dragon has a bit of issues that I would like to discuss sense a lot of people seem to not be talking about them.

Fire Damage - Fire damage does way too much damage in such a short amount of time! The fact that it does 9 damage per second is just overpowered! Sometimes it even does 10-11 damage if you land headshots with flare ball. This doesn’t make any sense...

Flame Blowers Range - The Range on Flame Blower is way too long! I remember a time when it was even longer! They ended up nerfing the range a while ago but it didn’t make much of a difference. They need to nerf it again. According to some patch notes an EA Member sent a couple months ago. The in-game range for Flame Blower was 30 and they ended up nerfing it to 25 meters. Perhaps they can make it 20 or 18 meters? Maybe that can balance it out a bit.

Snap Dragons Hit box - This is the least of my concerns. I think the hit box is quite fair but I do think the hit box of the head is a bit too big. The hit box of the body is pretty fair but the hit box of the head I do find a bit too big. I mean they made super brains hit box smaller, why not do it to snap dragon? The fact that it’s easier to get headshots than body shots really doesn’t make sense.

So this is what I currently think about Snap Dragon. I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions!

  • @MuffledAnt  I agree with you in every way about the Flame Blower, I can never seem to get away from Snapdragons no matter how hard I try. If you try to retreat from a Snapdragon, you probably will not be able to. I think the Flame Blower needs a small range and damage nerf, I reckon.

I saw just decrease tang to 20 to 22. Keep the damage. Don't really care about individual plant hitbox because all of them as a group need smaller hitboxes.  And there's a huge disparity between plant and zombie crit hitboxes

  • @MuffledAntSnapdragon is on the overpowered side, but not as bad as chomper and steam. His flame blower goes too far but that’s it. The fire does a lot, but doesn’t finish you off, it’s just supposed to put you into a weak spot. However, I agree with the hit box, I have an easy time hitting them and the fact most of his body is his head.

  • @MuffledAntNerf Flame Blower's range to 10 meters, buff it's damage and make Fire damage only be applicable in close range.

Reworking Blue Blazes completely would be cool too.

  • I don't think he belongs to characters who need nerfed.

IMO, he is weaker than Foot Soldier, and All-Star, because he is hard to escape and has short range.

He can good fight against short-ranged and high mobility characters, such as Steam Blaster and Brainium Basher.

  • @MuffledAnt I agree with your points, I think they could reduce the range to 15 meters, I think the fire damage for the flame blowers is fair, but for the flare ball it is completely broken, if you hit only one ball your enemy will have only 15 HP (which is pretty ridiculous for a gun that was supposed to be a finisher), and the hit box could be readjusted to be a little smaller.

Snapdragon is a great character but not overpowered, In my opinion. Foot soldier, all star, 80s, engineer, steam blaster is better than him.

    Slide is equal to him.

Is he better than most plants, yep,  but compared to zombies he's just another good character.
