Lets fix Chomper
Alright Chomper needs some work, since he's the only melee class the Plants have and I feel they need a stronger close range offense character. A Chomper should be feared, atm he's just one huge crit...
There is no reason that chompers should be out classed by the zombies close ranged fighters. They should get an upgrade to uphold the status quo between zombie classes and plant variants.
People complain that the plants need a good close combat fighter, and I agree. Chompers are that role that we have been looking for. To support an offensive strategy you need great close ranged power.

While I'll agree they could use a good up close AoE fighter, Chomper doesn't need buffed to fit that role. He's strong as he is, if you buff him I'll go from getting 15 or so kills in a typical team vanquish game to 25 kills, those are unrevivable kills.
In reality, they need to give the Plants an up close AoE melee, and the Zombies a ranged CC specialist.
Plants are lacking a melee AoE Bruiser, and the Zombies have about 1/4th the Crowd Control as the Plants team, so, that would go a long way to helping both in an area they are weak in.
Fast digestion. That's it
Digestion time would be fine if he had damage reduction when he's noming on a zombie.
It's not like you can't kill him, he will just have more of a fighting chance when he's in his most vulnerable state, especially useful if you accidentally swallow a summoned zombie.

I don't feel he needs even that. I still get around a 2/1 k/d ratio with him using the Hot Rod Chomper.
Yes, he's weak while eating/digesting, but he's scoring a kill on a player who can't be revived, that's a big deal.
About the only change I would suggest, which like another has said, if he's gooped a target, make it quicker to eat/digest them, and that's about it.
