@puntwothree You clearly don't know me man xD
Yes, I play zombies. I am a zombie player with lots of experience. (Reached Ultimate League in all seasons minus the first one with Rustbolt).
And yes, I have beaten Dragonfruits.
Is not an easy task (like when your opponent plays Cornucopia and summons 4 more plants), but is definitively possible. BUUUUUUUUUT, if your deck is only filled with aggro cards, yeah... you are really not going to have a good time.
I maintain Brainana should be the card to nuke tricks. Dragonfruit doing it indefinitely (with a stackable effect...) is not in the spirit of the anything.
Making it untrickable in compensation would be perfectly OK.

The real question here is not if EA CAN do the change... (because they obviously can) but rather WHY would they do the change?
We already got an Untrickable legendary card. Changing Dragonfruit to be exactly like it just makes no sense.
If the card was abosutely devastating and dominated 99.999999999% of the games, don't you think that EA would have nerfed it when this new set came out?
I mean, Stompadon has only been around for 1 Set (what was that? Like... 4 months?) and he got nerfed instantly. (And Escape Through time and Quickman and Medulla and Fossilhead...)
Dragonfruit has been around for double that time, and it hasn't been touched.
Want to hear the reason?
Because it doesn't need a nerf.
(nor a change)

Have realized that the avatar for the last league is a picture of Dragonfruit? someone from EA loves this card a lot, LOL do not have much expectation of it being changed 😃
- 8 years ago@Azombioso two reasons they might not have changed the card. #1: unlike most of the cards that have been nerfed, it’s not FAST. For obvious reasons, having a card that always wins by turn 5 is worse than a card that always wins by turn 8. It’s also legendary, which makes it less visable than a lot of cards that received nerf.
And, most importantly #2: until recently, making Dragonfruit untrickable wasn’t an option, because untrickable wasn’t a thing.
There are other untrickable legends, sure. And there are other untrickable cards. So what? Dragonfruit also fills the Three-Headed Chomper niche and the Brainana niche (and it does both better than both of these). The problem is, it fills too many niches.
