My Feedback on Roses, Citron and Kernel (all mastered)

So, i finally ended up to Master all the new characters... (besides Party which i don't give a flying FAQ)

Well, what can i say? I had pleasure to using Roses and Citron and much less when playing Corn, but let's go deeper.

Rose

The only roses i played before the nerf-patch was Ice and Fire, the last one most in the Garden Ops, so i leveled up Druid and Regular.
So after some months i had enough bravery to try them again. Well, i found them much better than i thought. Regular is still quite decent, and Druid, well, with all her ammos i found her quite useful in some situations and obtained the best rewards by far, specifically tons of assist.

The HP nerf is quite strong, so i had to play as much safe as possible, the homing nerf was garbage, but still usable, i just focused the precise distance to activate it.
All i did is trying to use my Spells to save my team-mates from Scientists and S.Brainz. In my first month of the game i though she was unplayable, but maybe i was just used to play something stronger and i was just bad.

Conclusion: still not incredible powerful as intended, but if you play enough smart you can still have a huge impact in the game. Continue spam the jump, stay at mid distance, and use your spells to protect people rather than secure kills.

Citron

Well i think i leveled up this class long time ago.
There are few things i ddn't say about this class. This class was the first class i mastered for some reasons.
After the Rose-nerf patch i thought game was unplayable and i left the game for a couple of weeks. After i turned back.. well i ddn't have much success again and the game was still horrible as expected.. until i discovered this class.
While some people could argue about his clunky animations and paper shield, this class TRULY made me enjoy the game.
Enough tanky to resist scientists burst to have a little chance to kill them.
Empeaching S.Brainz when turbotwisting.. and not to mention the splash damage laser beam incredible useful against Imps.

After i discovered this class i completely changed my mind about the balance, and.. i could enjoy the game a little bit more.
Also, in my first approach with the game i found this class EXTREMELY good at being carryed. All i did before was using something else like Cactuses, Corns, Sunflowers and just dying non-stop and making my team loose in team vanquish... But the amount of health made me survive a little bit longer to give less points to my enemies, and since is a character based on utility rather than damaging-skills all i did was helping others.. and well, i obtained good results.. and an ENJOYFUL game experience

Conclusion : all the new player should use this clas

Corn

Now i just finished to master this class.
Well what can i say? It took me forever to do it.
First i have to let you know that i hate every single Corn. Every single Corn player and every single Corn in my team. And every single Corn in enemy team.
You know what is making plant team losing so far? All this useless Corns.

Corn at first impact seems a better version of Foot Soldier.. with his 25HP more... but as long as you play him you get frustrated by the game and don't realized what is going on in the game.

Scientists coming into your face and force you to husk hop.. which can kill them.. or  not, a really kamikaze move.

Stuck Shot.. i don't understand the reason why i found this skill incredible hard to kit, but maybe the problem is not linked with the skill, rather than the fact that zombies are generally speaking more mobile than plants.
Butter Barrage? Incredible zoning move, but pretty easy to dodge.

And lets' not talk about Mob Corn (the only reason why someone should use him is because looks cool). Regular Corn with all his bullets spread and high recoil when moving and shooting... and not to mention PopCorn which should be the sniper variant but has by far a huge damage drop off at range.
But i continued to play them to truly understand this character.
PopCorn after Damage Upgrade gave me some decent rewards, and is not that bad at mid range.
Mob Corn at least has a decent recoil when moving and shooting, and i suggest to everyone to play him running HP upgrade.
Kernel.. well after i discovered some trick when aiming.. i say is not that bad.
This are my KD in the order i played the character

BBQ KD 0,98

this was the first Corn i played.. very bad results, but probably i was just approaching this class

Mob 1,27
I started to understand the character

Regular 1.42

Now i had decent experience to understand him

Pop 1,83

And finally i succeded to master him

So after i played him so long i'm not pretty sure he is weak or he is strong. But i'm sure one thing. he is extremely hard.

Every single skill can be dodged quite easily so you have to be smart, predict enemies move and bait him. You have to use Butter Barrage considering the position your enemies will be, for example shooting it at your feet if you see a Scientists or a S.Brainz, and stuck shot, well the same. And the bullet dispersion? Still quite bad but if you release the fire button a couple of instant it resets, and one thing that helped me, i always don't aim at my enemies, i aim in a little right below corner next to his target, because the recoil of the weapon will make the reticle go aboce and slighly right always.

Conclusion: This character is not that bad as i thought, but it's incredible hard to play. If you really want to make this pick worth as a damage dealer you need to have a good experience in the game to take profit of his kit, and in conclusion i don't suggest to any newbies to play this character (expect for BBQ, which has low recoil and fire dot and seems at least a little bit more easy to use...)

  • Question. What upgrades does a fully lvled citron have access to? So far I only have speed/health regen/regen delay/Zoom uprade.

Well, more or less upgrades are the same for every class

    lv 5 hp delay

    lv 9 zoom upgrade

    specialist lv 5 hp regen

    specialist lv9 movespeed

advanced lv 5 less penalty when overheat (or reload faster for most of other classes)

advanced lv 9 overheat upgrade (or ammo upgrade for most of other classes)

elite lv 5 damage upgrade (or fire/ice/poison/stink cloud/legendary bar)

grand elite lv 5 Hp upgrade

the upgrade that i suggest you are:

    Damage Upgrade (staple)

    Overheat Upgrade (staple)

than depending on what you have to do:

movespeed (when you want to have presence on the map for objectives)

zoom (when you want to snipe)

    Hp regen (when lacks sunflowers)

    @xXFrozenChromeXx

I think Corn is more better suited to the consoles than the PC. Because less players use the movement options to their advantage, it's far easier to hit your opponents. The fact that most gunfights take place at close to medium range on console helps Corn as well. He can actually be useful on PC, but that would require him to play in an All-Star like fashion, blowing up the enemies and sacrifing yourself for the team, and less like the Footsoldier like most people do. The main problem for me is the low range for the default, Party and BBQ Corn.

@xxSe4l-MLG420xx oh ok, now i understand!

Yes the ranged damage drop-off is kinda bad but i think they will ever increase you'll see even more Corn than now, i would avoid this :v i have to change that in my topic of suggestion but i think i'll wait next patch to update that topic.
