The problem I have with the upgrade is that it converts a healing support character to a killer character that can be cured.
An example is the rose, she's legendary upgrade depends on her support work and it is well balanced in that. but to the scientist who with warp can easily escape and can also be cured, they give him an upgrade that kills easily, omitting his support role.
is the only thing I don't like about the upgrade, pop cap is likely to give Sunflower a legendary upgrade meant for support as opposed to scientist
- @getter87 I'm speculating but I think that PopCap is deliberately trying to call back to the variant characters of GW2 where certain variants to each class provided differing mechanics, damage and other combat abilities. Back then if you wanted a super-accurate, long range Scientist you played the Astronaut but if you preferred a super close range damage monster you went for the Chemist.
To be honest, when playing as default BfN Scientist I've felt that the class was too pigeon-holed as a healing Support and should only be played if you were planning on embracing that playing style.
I think it's a little early to make judgement on how the upgrade will impact PvP because it's only just now going to start entering more common usage and all of us players will need to figure out the best tactics and character classes to counter it and we'll probably need a couple of weeks before the "WTF" factor works it's way out of the combat and we can start properly seeing what, if any, balance adjustments for it might be in order.
