or electro pea
- Iron_Guard88 years agoLegendNec'Rose was an odd choice to buff indeed. Her debuff attack can wreck zombies if her team works with it well. She charges fast too so is a solid pick for matches. Agent Pea used to have 125 health back in GW1! I remember how many of them were in matches prior to that nerf in GW1. I think that they've not altered him much since he requires better aim than most other pea shooters. There's a few variants they should still be looking at for better balance, many of which have been pointed out here. - 8 years agoThere is still a lot of trash going on in this game. I remember how Citrons found out how they could get really high up on Moon Base Z at the last capture area. It was awful but after 2 changes this is over. Right now i still see masses of issues that need fixing. Especially the collision. And Moon Base Z still got at least one high ground spot that allows to abuse the collision while staying entirely behind cover... But even when that is barely an issue in a match people resort to the cheapest tactics. Agent Pea is primarily an issue with his long range snipes. I remember multiple scenarios where i got outsniped by an Agent Pea as Pirate. Something that should be less of an issue on console but on PC the aim makes all the difference. Same with Plasma Pea. Way too much damage for a single fast shot combined with mobility, with way too much splash damage. I've been in a couple scenarios where the only way to stop that was to long range snipe from another elevated position. Any attempt to get closer to the Peas elevated position was suppressed by charged shots, splash and bean bombs. And while sniping back Plasma can just disappear behind cover and pop out with charged shots to win with splash damage. And then there is Astronaut. A sniper with 0 recoil that heals himself. Mostly found far away from the action because these shots deal so much damage. And everybody loves BBQ. The 150 HP fire sniper. Nerfed but still too strong. Super fast and accurate shots that deal fire damage. One of the worst mistakes in this game that should have never passed the concept phase. Not to forget Arctic Trooper. I love the cool guy but for whatever reason he freezes too fast and is way too effective at range. I've been in plenty of situation where i was frozen before i could act, but when i play as Arctic no one seems to freeze ever. I am literally talking about 1.0 seconds here. Z7? Sure. Hide around a corner. Wait for target. Throw Gravity Grenade. Win. Somebody at Popcap must be really proud of this... And do i really have to talk about Mechs? Like what are we expected to do against Mechs? Is it a team effort? Like 2-3 Plants to deal with one Mech? Then how does that work when there are 8 Mechs? Or is it a specific Plant class that can take them out effectively? Because i still haven't found one. Generally with all of my experience i can say that the overall concept of this game does not work. Its meant as a team based shooter but the amount of skill required to make that work is not in line with the playerbase. A good example is team composition. Many teams simply fail because one of them is more effective at dealing with specific classes than the other. Or teams with 0 healers while the other keeps reviving and healing. Or one team just camps while the other is actively going for the objective. Which brings me to another point: why is taking an area in TT so worthless? I get 90 points for being physically present on a garden. There are no objective based boasts. Little reason to actually play the objective. Defender and Attacker bonus also applies to people that are not present on the objective. So camping far away while sniping people on the objective grants more points than actually taking the objective. Its an awful design. I could go on and on... - Iron_Guard88 years agoLegend@Screion the point I have to agree with you most on is playing the objective. It's so tiresome being the only person on the capture point trying to hold/take it while snipers rack up the points. It's been mentioned before but with the extra attention to the game we've been getting lately it really makes sense to change the rewards so that the game rewards players that are willing to get on that point more than the sniper sitting in the back racking up vanquishes. Make being on points and grabbing/planting gnome bombs more worthwhile so people play the objectives more often instead of farming vanquishes. This is a common issue in these games though. Overwatch has the same issue, or at least it did.
