That's so easy to answer. The zombie side simply doesn't have that sort of firepower to take one down the same, nor the disables such as goop. There is a difference right there.

ZPG?? You barely see any soldiers so I'd say that's a no. Otherwise I'd agree that's obvious. If imp punt is so good, then why aren't chili bombs good for mechs? Snipe it with deadbeard. Snipe it with cactus who does more damage as he fire's faster, and some variants do much more damage anyway. Barrel bomb means that deadbeard has to actually not be sniping miles away like usual and actually in the action. As for super brainz how would he get close if the plants actually figure out to just cc him? Come on you do better than this.
I would agree with everything that's been said about killing a plant mech, but the same goes for killing the zombie one now. You even said yourself Korn's easily kill them, so how are they an issue at all?
I'm not even remotely biased btw - you already know i've been mostly playing plants. I just don't see them as a problem in being dealt with. Adding one to plants and your other suggested buffs (along with nerfs to the zombies) will make plants massively OP. That should be clear as day to anyone. Screw that or we'll going around in circles.
Nobody needs to use Soldiers, this might give players a reason to use one.
I am happy with circles, it is much better than the current gaming experience we are all having now. I'm not disputing or debating that Imps Mech is overpowered, or impossible to take out.
Why can zombies have better stuff, but plants aren't allowed the same stuff?
Chilli Bomb is fine, but the basic one only does what, 125 damage? Sombrero does 250 but isn't registering for most people. I threw about 10 yesterday and didn't get a single kill, and no, I didn't toss them into the river...

ZPG do 300 damage at direct hit actually and shuck can do up to 250 damage if if you get a direct hit with both missile
Also I'm pretty sure Roadie Z shot don't block abilities,it just a glitch with knockback right now which sometime prevent you to use abilities until you shoot. And because you often see them ramming you with his jackhammer...
As for the the actual topic...Yeah a clone of a zombie ability is probably not a good way to fix chomper. And something that require that much work is not gonna happen.
