It's kinda like your Jalapeño idea, but I always thought a pretty funny idea for a Chili Bean Bomb alternative would be a Molotov Cattail. Instead of an explosion it would just set an area of the ground on fire for a short time - a great crowd control ability that could effectively, ahem, "encourage" the Zombies to vacate Capture Zones. And, much like how the Sombrero Bean Bomb would say "¡Arriba!" on activation, the Molotov Cattail could have a little Russian accent and say "Da svidaniya, comrade!"
Isn't that essentially what the Jalapeno does in PvZ? I think instead of Crimson's idea, it should behave like the Scientist's Cheese Warp or All Star's Tackle and clear everything out in a straight line ahead and set them on fire for 5 seconds. That would be more in line with what it does in PvZ.
I'd also replace Crimson's infini-nut idea with an umbrella leaf to protect from overhead attacks and drone strikes. Requiring people to use a specific type of damage to remove a barrier faster, which they may not have access to due to luck of the draw... is not something I support. Remember, electric variants need to be unlocked first... and not everyone will have that unlocked.
Just got the idea for a "vampire heal beam" for the scientist that would replace his heal station with a beam that attaches to ENEMIES and leeches their health to heal him. Would be fun to get in close, latch on with a beam and drain someone of their life force right?

In all honesty, I'd much rather they just come up with a vampire zombie, than give the scientist class a vampire beam.
Also think of how OverPowering that would be to have a CQC character to fight close quarters while sucking their life force.

@This needs to be a thing! suggest it to @JA_Weibe on Twitter. If you can't I'll do it for you. And I'll give credit where it's due.
also just think of chemist with that.

No it shouldn't be a thing. Scientists are already arguably one of the most overpowered characters... allowing them to shoot you and drain your life while healing themself would basically ruin the game.

Counter-Argument: When garden warfare hit 8 million players, it showed a list of most played characters most used ability and scientist isn't even on there! Meaning he's the least played class. Also it wouldn't heal you at a rate of 30 Health per second it would heal you at 7-8 heath per second. heck maybe lower... Also since you have Camo Ranger as your picture I suspect you play foot soldier.... He's MUCH more of a problem...heck he's been spawned 2x more than all star. And God knows how much more than scientist.

I got a ability idea, tell me if you like it, and if I forgot any features.
Imp-Visible
Replaces Impkata
(Unlockable)
(Ability)
Effects
When you activate the ability you turn invisible for 5 seconds.
You explode when ability ends. (you don't die) (Small Explosion)
If an enemy is hit by the explosion they take 15% increased damage for 3 seconds.
You move 20% faster while invisible .
You take 10% increased damage while invisible .
You can’t attack while invisible.
You can’t deactivate it after you start it.
Using jetpack doesn't reveal you.
You can call down your mech but you can’t use it until you become visible again. (it will land near you.)
You can't use any other abilities while cloaked.
You aren’t slowed by goop but you are still covered with it.
EMPeach gets rid of cloak. and stuns you for 1 second.
When you become visible you deal 20% decreased damage for 3 seconds.
You still make noises while invisible.
There is a .5 second delay before you become invisible
(Imp grabs a controller and pushes a button then vanishes- Anonymous10 years agosounds cool but u would be outlined so its not op
- Anonymous10 years agogreatt
- Anonymous10 years agosounds cool but to make it fair it would take 2 health fast like the healing beam does 2 healing points quick

What I felt before heal zombie healer consumable was a thing was where the scientist wore the heal station that way all you would need to deo is move and heal your team easy mode. Unfortunately healer zombie is a thing so it probably won't happen, but one can dream.

I strongly suggest you think of new abilities that balance the game and not make it more broken than it is.
Scientist with a vampire heal beam, is that a troll ability? They kill anything in like 2 seconds what kind of sucky sucky Scientist player would need that?
Sunflower should be able to replace her beam with some sort of Absorb Shield, a glowing aura around her that allows her to survive long enough to bloody revive someone, or even kill someone 🙂
- Anonymous10 years agoThese ideas were prerelease ideas. So much disappointment must had been happening when you realized the only new abilities were from the deluxe edition and only for corn and super brainz. Chomper got 1 super useless one too. But that's it.
