Noticed something during Live With Popcap - 4 card limit

I noticed something during Live With Popcap.

They said that you can only add 4 of any card to your deck, but they had more than 4 of several zombies in their collection. Is there a purpose for having extras, like each individual card can only be in one deck at a time, or are the extras just there to mock you with their unusability?

Here's an educated guess from a Hearthstone player:

In the official announcement of the latest update, EA/Popcap promises that the game will get a crafting system when it gets released worldwide. In the crafting system of Hearthstone, you can "disenchant" extra cards for "dust", a currency which can be used to craft any new card you want. PvZ Heroes will almost certainly get something similar.
