EA Staff (Retired)@DoZaLi98 Hello, please double check that the account that has paid for PS4 Plus has the current console set to that account's primary PS4. Go to the account that has PS4 Plus > Settings > Account Management > Activate as Your Primary PS4, and make sure it is activated.

This did not help, is the 2nd player unable to join if they don't have a PSN account?!
I bought this game so I could play with my child but won't allow him a network account so if that is the case it is very disappointing and wasn't worth the purchase
