Before I say what I can say, I have pretty much done all the troubleshooting I've seen here AND through three different EA Help support cases AND have re-installed BOTH the EA App and the game itself through Steam MULTIPLE TIMES. supposedly NA servers were back online since Tuesday, up until Thursday did I receive the usual connection error. I was told firstly that it was due to an account issue, that has been resolved now, making my email here and on Steam the same email for my purchase and playtime. I don't believe this is an account issue told to me by support however because it's still giving me that "Cannot Connect to EA servers" pop-up time and time again and I'm just at a loss at how unfixable this problem has become; I'd much rather just start over my progress on a new account if it means I get to play again at this point. not the first time I had to start over thanks to origin locking me out of my old account long ago.
