- @ToastedSarnie NPCs have “voice lines” in the PVE areas, which means they probably animated their lips to move according to an inaudible sound clip that would play if it could
@TLEsquireThere will be new secret bases coming to the plant and zombie side in Giddy Park (so far anyway), similar to how they did it in GW2. The new residents somewhat indicate this! 😉
@ToastedSarnieNope they don't have any audio files so far, just like the other "talking" characters at the bases. As far as I know, none of the PvZ characters use human language audio files, but it's a pretty big franchise and I haven't played it all.
As @TheSprinter85 said the zombie one does talk about a secret plant base, but that could just mean the current plant base because zombies can't find it?
I was just curious what people thought. It was subtle new addition that looks like it could be an indicator for something fun. Maybe we can start bringing a boss in Giddy Park on certain occasions. Or maybe they are going to move over to a door and blow it open (like @MrKritiek mentioned), both of those character types have sort of explosive possibilities. Or maybe they are just new interactive decorative features. It's something to keep an eye on for the future- @TLEsquire I just wondered about audio as the others do make a little bit of noise to start with - not proper speech, but say a little growl from Chomper, or squeaky bit from Acorn 😂
Yes, something to watch out for - I like the thought about blowing open a new area.

It would be a little disappointing at this point if they are just decorations but that's mostly because they sparked my imagination and made me think of neat things they could do. I just like seeing new stuff added even when it doesn't "do" much of anything. I love seeing the park changes they come up with seasonally too. It's a rich environment and it's got a lot of potential to add all kinds of fun things. We (forum members) throw ideas out there all the time. Maybe some will be collected and considered even if they aren't currently being planned?Edit - typo. Why are d and s so close to each other on the keyboard anyway?!
