Original PvZ Won't Open

I bought the original PvZ through Origin back in the day.  I went to play the other day and it says I need to put in the product code again or buy the game again.  Seriously?!?!   I don't know where the product code is for a  game that I bought over 10 years ago is....  Fix this EA....

  • Hi. I had the same problem. The following method solved it for me;

    1. Close/Exit the EA app.
    2. Open Windows File Explorer and copy/paste* this 'url' into the address bar: C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License
    3. *If you can't copy/paste this 'url' , you can enable the ''View hidden files and folders in Windows'' option steps and navigate to the folder manually.
    4. In the ''License'' folder, where you should be if you've followed the above-shared steps, delete all files that you can see*. (**Personally, I deleted all license files, but for some people, just deleting the 71592.dlf file was enough.)
    5. *If you can't see any, please enable the ''View hidden files and folders in Windows'' option steps
    6. Open the EA app again and perform an App Recovery (clear cache).
    7. Try to launch the game again, the game should now work.

    I'm glad to hear that 😊. Unfortunately, this issue has been going on for about two years now. EA says that this is a local issue and affects many older titles. But unfortunately, there is still no permanent solution. I'm really worried that I won't be able to play the game one day, I hope this issue doesn't happen again and EA releases a permanent solution for this issue.
