Overpowered Fung Fu Exploit

There's currently an exploit for Nightcap's Fung Fu. Not everyone is talking about it and abusing it, but the devs should look into it whenever they get the chance. You can't outrun it and it needs to be patched as soon as possible. Basically what this exploit does is it allows you move roughly 2.5x faster while in Fung Fu, using the upgrades 'Fleet Footed,' 'Speedy,' and 'Combo.' I only use this exploit in Ops and Free Roam Regions and I don't use this exploit in online matches because I'm afraid I'll get temporarily banned. No one wants that!

WARNING: IF YOU USE THIS EXPLOIT IN AN ONLINE MATCH, YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET TEMPORARILY BANNED! IT'S YOUR CHOICE TO ABUSE THIS! IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU GET TEMPORARILY BANNED!

Please, only use this in Ops and Free Roam Regions!

So, you've read this far, huh? Here we go...

In order to perform this exploit, you'll need to have at least the upgrades 'Fleet Footed' and 'Speedy.' The last point is optional, but I like to use 'Combo.' What you need to do is sprint. While you're sprinting, hold the Fung Fu button first, then Shadow Sneak. This needs to be done in quick succession or else you're just going to Fung Fu like how it's intended to function.

@Multiwarfare You said it correctly. IF there is an unfair advantage then it should be considered an exploit.

But, is this actually an exploit?

The way I see it, someone just cleverly uses actual GAME mechanics by combining specific upgrades.

It's the same with the old Parkour upgrade. If Nightcaps would sprint-strafe they would move insanely fast. This was not considered to be an exploit. Instead, a specific upgrade and usage of game mechanics were used.

It boggles my mind when people just openly claim something is an EXPLOIT with little proof.

  • If this is a way for people to have an unfair advantage, I would recommend posting this on Bug Reports.

The easiest way to find it, is by clicking PvZ: Battle for Neighborville on the black line, below search or ask a question. Or you can simply search BFN fourms bug reports.

  • I’m pretty sure alll of the very good nightcap players knew about this, myself as well. But because it carries a downside with it, I wouldn’t consider it an exploit. In all honesty, it’s more of a tech.

And I really hope they don’t patch it. This is one of fung fu’s only uses.

@YaBoiMattyK  I've known about this for a very long time. I just refrained from posting about it because it's not really game breaking and it's the only thing that makes fung fu worth using tbh, but I see that's in the toilet now so I guess I'll have to start playing another character. Thanks OP!
