Pausing in single-player infinity time

Something that I hate with infinity time is the enormous amount of stress I get from it. Whenever I play it my heart constantly beats from extreme disconfort almost as if i'm having an exam without having prepared before going in. I do have the skill to get the infinity infinity chests, but it's so extremely painful to do so that I won't bother. It may just be me, but i'm pretty damn sure there are others who feel way too stressed playing infinity time, as different as their stress level may be.

Something that I believe would fix this is allowing for lone players to pause the game. It would give time to cool down before going back into the battle, which would drastically reduce the stress level.

I know that playing multiplayer would definitely fix this, but actually getting to play with another person is much easier said than done.
