So essentially I downloaded the game yesterday, go to launch it, the anticheat loads, closes, aaaaand nothing. steam says it isnt running, same with ea app. I am 95% sure that it is the anti cheat causing this, because when I launch with the anticheat files deleted, the game launches fine but stops at the main loading screen, which I assume is because the anticheat is off. I have tried the following solutions
- restarting
- verifying files
- reinstalling
- reinstalling ea app
- deleting cache and temp files
- deleting ea license files
- the "cryptbase.dll" I couldn't find, even with search bar.
- installing manually all of the _installer files
- installing the 2013 C++ distributable
any help would be appreciated

Hey, folks
There are multiple reports of GW2 having performance issues with the PC. As there are many different issues being reported, we need to get some info from you.
Can you attach a DxDiag?
With support being limited, troubleshooting will also have its limits to what can be done.
Once we have the above file, we will be responding as we can to each of you!
Cheers!

Thank you! From your file, this is what I can see.
- RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64: This is typically associated with memory leaks
- APPCRASH: This indicates that the GW2 application crashed. The logs show that this occurred multiple times. The fault code c0000005
- BEX64: This is a Buffer Overflow Exception, indicating that the AdobeCollabSync program
- ScriptedDiagFailure: This error appears to be linked with the Microsoft Windows Network Diagnostics tool.
There is not a lot with the game, but with memory leaks, and Windows error codes, here are the steps I would take with your game.the AC could be a cause but its a security program, so something on your Windows may simply not like it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it through the EA app and Steam and cannot repro it. I have just a basic Windows install too.
I would first uninstall the game (some of these you have already done)
Delete Windows Temp Files
- First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
- Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
- Type in %temp%, and hit Enter
- Delete everything it allows you to delete
- Reboot the PC
Optional Registry clean-up
- install CCleaner (it's free) from here
- Run Registry cleaner
- Click review selected issues
- Do you want to back up? No
- Click Fix all selected issues
- Check for Windows Updates
- Check for GPU updates
- Run the System File Checker tool
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Microsoft VC++ Link)
- Change UAC Controls within Windows (change back once tested)
Once these are performed, reinstall the game and test it.

@CatNugget160 Thank you! Here is what I found!
First, I noticed that your GPU drivers are out of date. I would update those first! Check for GPU updates
1. Missing Binary: LxssManager.dll - The Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) uses this file for its operation. If it's missing, it could cause problems. You may need to reinstall WSL
2. Windows Update Service Crash: The svchost.exe_wuauserv process is related to the Windows Update service
3. Application Crashes: The PVZ.Main_Win64_Retail.exe, krita.exe, and SonicGenerations.exe crashes
4. Memory Leak: The RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 and RADAR_PRE_LEAK_WOW64 events suggest there might be a memory leak in your system
As this one deals with some missing Windows files and Linux issues, it is causing issues with the app and the game. I would start with the following below.
First, uninstall the game. You need to start over:
- Run the System File Checker tool
- Check for Windows Updates
- Check for GPU updates
- Windows troubleshooting tools
- Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Microsoft VC++ Link)
Delete Windows Temp Files
- First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
- Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
- Type in %temp%, and hit Enter
- Delete everything it allows you to delete
- Reboot the PC
Optional Registry clean-up
- install CCleaner (it's free) from here
- Run Registry cleaner
- Click review selected issues
- Do you want to back up? No
- Click Fix all selected issues
Once the system is cleaned out, reinstall the game and test it.
