2 years agoHey, folks
There are multiple reports of GW2 having performance issues with the PC. As there are many different issues being reported, we need to get some info from you.
Can you attach a DxDiag?
With support being limited, troubleshooting will also have its limits to what can be done.
Once we have the above file, we will be responding as we can to each of you!
Cheers!

@ergo79 Thanks! There are a few things happening with the system. Everything below is what I pulled from the error report!
-
APPCRASH Errors:
- gw2.main_win64_retail.exe: This executable has crashed multiple times.
- Fault bucket IDs:
- Error Codes:
- c0000005 (Access Violation)
- Faulting Offset: 000000000024c1dd
-
RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 Errors:
- steamwebhelper.exe: This executable encountered a pre-leak error.
- Fault bucket ID: 1656743694097709690
- Titanfall2.exe: This executable also encountered a pre-leak error.
- Fault bucket ID: 1290843497229158255
From the file and the number of errors, the below is where I would start:
- Run the System File Checker tool
- Check for Windows Updates
- Check for GPU updates
- Windows troubleshooting tools
- Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Microsoft VC++ Link)
For Testing (Optional)
- Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game
- Try the Game in different Compatibility settings
- Try Safe Mode with Networking
- Try a new Windows Account
- Change UAC Controls within Windows (change back once tested)
Delete Windows Temp Files
- First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
- Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
- Type in %temp%, and hit Enter
- Delete everything it allows you to delete
- Reboot the PC
Optional Registry clean-up
- install CCleaner (it's free) from here
- Run Registry cleaner
- Click review selected issues
- Do you want to back up? No
- Click Fix all selected issues
