[PC] Plants vz Zombies - "We could not activate on this computer"

@in2action Thank you so much! I figured it was only the license file so I just deleted the below file and it worked:

C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License\71592.dlf

So I downloaded Plants Vs Zombies from EA, and I didn't download it off of Origin, and all of a sudden, the game won't open.

Upon booting the game, I got a window informing me that I had to activate the game on my origin account despite the fact that I didn't download through origin.

Does anyone know how to fix this? When I say EA, I mean on the windows PC. I downloaded the new EA play app on PC.

@PAIGEROXMEIT moved your post over. Have you run through the steps outlined on this thread?

  after 78 hours of playtime, I suddenly had this issue today starting up the game.
  For me, deleting the license did not help, but reinstalling the game with english language instead of german solved it.
