Hey All,
The team is looking into this error again. As the normal troubleshooting steps for this had not worked and affected other titles again, we escalated it back for review.
Once we get an update on it, we will let everyone know!
Cheers!
So I was downloading an update to the Sims 4 today - using the EA app of course.
Decided to launch Plants vs. Zombies - been a while but whilst waiting ....
Trying to launch the game it wouldn't and I was told to enter a product code.
Odd but OK I had the product code so entered it.
App then said I was off line and the app was not connected to the internet.
Tried reboot, restart computer, the EA app repair function; cleared the cache etc, - no joy. EA App declared I was still off line.
Then the app completed downloading the Sims update and I launched the game ....... despite the app being offline.
Motto: The Sims community is larger that the Plants vs. Zombies community and when the app breaks they EA a lot more stick.
Clearly the app was not offline, something has been broken in the app when it comes to launching Plants vs. Zombies.
Sigh
I have EA app on Windows 11 Home.
I want to play game "Plants vs Zombies Game of the Year Edition"When I run it, an activator app shows with "Enter Product Key" button.
When I click it, I get an error that my computer is currently offline.
My computer is online on a very stable fiber connection. Browser and other apps work flawlessly.Activator app, EA App and Plants vs Zombies executables are not blocked by Firewall.
I've tried reinstalling EA App and reinstalling the game.
I need help.

@Kharthos I'm doing more searches on this but currently, either changing the language or deleting all of the license files is the only real workaround with this game.
That one error affects more than this game too. Even non-EA titles so I'm taking a look at those games and steps as well.
Yep, hidden files were shown. I already had contact with the support 🙂 They told me to search in the forum 😞|

@Kharthos When you deleted the license files, do you have the option to view hidden files and folders enabled? Deleting those files is one of the only real workarounds we can offer before you go to support.
If that option is not enabled please do so and delete the files listed.
If that does not work, you would need to reach out to support so that they can look at the account.
deleted all - still not working..

@Kharthos A lot of players have more than one hard drive, most have a normal HDD and an SSD for their OS. if you only have one, that is okay just want to make sure that you don't have two as some will install the game on a different drive than the EA app which is why they may not see certain files or folders as they are in a separate place.
If you have more files in there just delete them all.
I deleted the 71592.dlf File. Yes there were about 8 files in the folder. What do you mean with multiple drives? I got only drive C on the other System.

@Kharthos When you deleted the file in the license folder, did you delete all of them or just that one single file? Were there more files in that folder?
On the new system, do you have more than one drive installed? With this game, it should install that license folder if it is installed through the EA app, so that could be an issue with the game linked to the account.
