[PC] PvZ:GW and MSI Afterburner 3.01/RTSS conflict

Something about MSI Afterburner 3.01 and RTSS 6.1.0.7285 is causing this game to get stuck on the title screen dropping to 0fps and not letting the game shutdown unless done through 'End Process' in Task Manager.

  • I have this issue as well.  It's RTSS and not specific to Afterburner/Precision X.

If you are looking for a solution and not just reporting it:

Yeah you have to disable the Origin Overlay for the game, or make sure RTSS isn't running.  In the origin game library, right click the game, select properties, and check the box "Disable Origin in game for this game".  This causes problems with joining friends games.  If you aren't joining others, then it's no problem.  Else you want to close RTSS as for me, even excluding the overlay from RTSS for the PVZ executable still caused the issue.  If you happen to find a way around that let me know please.
