Garden warfare 1 and 2 were both very successful and brought new fans to the series but it still feels like they're underutilized in varying aspects yet despite this they were successful and popcap/EA or whoever decided we needed an entire reboot of the series to be more like overwatch (one can only imagine the potential gw3 we could've gotten if overratedwatch didn't exist).
- DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace@stukapooka After the success of GW1 and gw2, BFN was launched. I don't know why BFN failed, but BFN killed a lot of GW fans. If GW3 could be launched, I think YouTube might be occupied for several hours. I think if PVZ is the first generation, it makes people look terrible. I don't think it's a problem. If it's 3D, I don't think it's necessary. The first thing to make sure is that pvz2 attracts a lot of children, so I think 3D model should be a little cute

@DecreeNo9Bfn failed beacuse it was just bad: we somehow had an ops with less gameplay variety than gw1, missing features at launch, worse lighting and bullet effects than its predecessors, terrible maps with an awful sense of flow, while balance has never been great in any of the games this the game that has the one ahot branium basher and even at founders it was obvious no one playtested the game as nightcap existed, no solo play at launch, ripping maps from pve that were simply not meant for multiplayer, sprinting, bless spawnables than both games which are incredibly underpowered on defense, new mechanics in gamemodes were bad such as the suburbination taking to control points to even score (take a, then b, then spawncamp c for the rest of the game), failure to deliver on new characters besides wizard who to this day is still controversial, prize maps required grinfing over a month which people just dont time foe, it would take months grinding just to earn enough rainbow stars for one costume (even worse after the event gave out random numbers so some people only got 100 while others got 800), pve areas are fine but there is no reason to go back to them after beating them and they are relatively too easy in some ways, killing gw for bfn was a risky but failed move as gw fans have no reason to care for or play a game that doesnt interest them or seem like the games they liked in the first place, a lot of the animations don't even work, some character models just look laughably bad, the marketing for bfn was an absolute failure so only hardcore fans found out and many weren't happy, a lot of mechanicql changes for the characters are just busted such as scientist or engineer, lack of variants killed the replayability and no upgrade for more damage on your last shot was going to fix that, aiming just isnt as smooth in bfn, bugs and glitches everywhere, battle arena ranked was a disaster, addjng bots into multiplayer that straight up cheated, and the removal of multiple game modes.
Honestly in what way did the game not fail?
Yeah why do the models look so bad if there meant to get more people interested like there are legit chinese pvz games with better 3d artstyle than this. - DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace@stukapooka To tell you the truth, I can only feel the balance between the camps and the prize map. If I don't go out of my way to play, I can't get the final prize at all
- stukapooka5 years agoLegend@DecreeNo9 Yeah it was even worse at the beginning of the games life cycle where it took I think like 7,500 if I remember correctly than they nerfed it to 5,000 but even than the amount required kept going up fpr certain items and popcap terminated every so glitch people could find which would still take them hours to grind.
- DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace@stukapooka I'm sorry to be a digression. In the help seeking post I sent a few days ago, some people want to know your identity. Employees of PopCap?If you can't answer, forget it

@DecreeNo9I'm just a fan who really enjoyed this series since playing the original on ds and currently feel let down by its modern direction like so many other people.
Why do they want to know and who are they? - DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace
@stukapookaThey said that they are also fans of PVZ. Some people suspect We are directing and acting by themselves. Anyway, I don't believe they are fans of PVZ
Forget it, don't reply to these people
- stukapooka5 years agoLegend@DecreeNo9 What do you mean directing and acting by themselves? What makes you think they may not be fans of pvz, where did this come from: the subreddit, twitter, or pvz wiki forums?
- DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace@stukapooka They think that nothing has happened to BFN at all, and deliberately say that if BFN has not reached the Break even, There won't be GW3, they say that they have never seen your avatar, and they don't know about GW and BFN. I sent a news in a video website. It seems that I can't find a link. I'll ask if I can get a link, an app on my mobile phone
- stukapooka5 years agoLegend@DecreeNo9 Oh ok.
Well they might be potentially right if the game doesn't break even that means it lost money so there's a likelihood there wont be a gw3 bexause we all know how much EA doesn't like losing money.
Thanks for trying to get that link. - DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace@stukapooka A bad news, the post was reported to delete, damn, but also spend a lot of time to appeal
- stukapooka5 years agoLegend@DecreeNo9 Well, thanks for trying.
- DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace@stukapooka I found that all studios acquired by EA are very expensive. You can take a look at F1 2021, which is much more expensive than 2020
- stukapooka5 years agoLegend@DecreeNo9 Ok.
- DecreeNo95 years agoSeasoned Ace@stukapooka I think PopCap will end up with BFN if he doesn't do pvz3 well. No one knows if the GW team has been preserved, and all we can do is help them to achieve balance of payments and pray
