@ToastedSarnie Can't remember what its called but there's an upgrade that knocks back enemies with your scattershot. Great for uprooting sunflowers and peashooters!
Also- great for knocking people off your sniping perch if they ever try to face you head on!
- 6 years ago@PineapplePiano That upgrade can be fun to bully other players but gameplaywise it's not worth the points imho :D That for you need at least 2 points which you can't put in actually good upgrades.

Love Deadbeard... My most played Zombie. He is the reason I hope they never nerf Nightcap. Facing a team full of Nightcaps is Deadbeards dream.
Anyways for as long as I remember I settled on these...
Health Regen AND Health Regen delay: often can take a couple of shots to kill higher health enemies so if you exchange damage this means you can hide, recover and peak around the corner again to take that finishing shot before they recover.
Plunder: eggsplosion is very powerful and multikill potential. Anything to get more of these per parrot is worth it. Some games I get nearly all my kills from just the parrot.
That's all 7 points in total.

@PineapplePianoyah I use scuttle shot, powder keg and incoming keg. I am often top 3 or vanquish master when using the pirate with these upgrades.
For me
Incoming keg is a must because you need to be able to chase down enemies to get an easy kill. Some people are smart and run away shortly after they see that you are in the keg, and then you wont be able to catch them even with the faster movement speed. One trick which i've learned to counter this is that when you go into your barrel, pretend to run away. As soon as they see you do this, they chase you try to chase you. Once they do this turn around and blow it up in front of there face. They wont have enough time to turn around and run away any more. This small trick gives me at least 3-5 kills alone.
Scuttle shot is also a must for me. This upgrade may be as valuable if not more than incoming keg. This allows you push back your opponent and helps you to be a very good close-combat player. Use this in an offensive manner. With this perk, you should ALWAYS be able to beat a chomper 1on1 (just as long as they dont burrow, in which case just jump away with anchor). Use this ability to push your opponent into a corner where they cant do ANYTHING except get shot at.This is very effective against chomper, cactus, night cap, acorn (but he can escape pretty easily with his dash ability) and sunflower (all the sunflower can do is try to heal her self while you pin her on the wall).
This is not effective against the snapdragon (because his primary will most likely kill you before you kill him) and citron (because all he has to do it put up his shield.
This is decently effective against the peashooter and kernal which is really depended on how well your opponent can aim. Also try using this while jumping so you're harder to hit
powder keg is better than the rest of the 1 slot upgrades, in my opinion.
Hope that helps, good luck!- 6 years ago
