I am now with Giant Giganticus at level 41 but I stuck there and realised that plants are OP. Even if I change my deck to "kill this * as fast as possible" then I see this f**** captain cucumber than...
@patdk75 but that's saying plants don't also need those perfect scenarios. Every combo is OP in the perfect scenario; but the fact of the matter is, they don't come around all that often. You know what happens if I play cpt cuke recklessly against a skilled/prepared/experienced opponent? Rolling Stone... Weed spray... You know why it works out for me more often than not? Because I'm skilled enough to know WHEN to play and WHEN NOT to play my cards, and because of the surprising lack of removal in many decks these days.
@patdk75, I'm afraid but @daalnnii is right. A specific situation is requiered for a card (or cards) to be considered Overpowered.
For example, I love Starch Lord. He is one of my favorite plant cards on this expansion. As @daalnnii said, if you know how and when to play your cards, anything can be broken.
For example: I know I need to be cautious when playing my card, due to the numerous threats out there. (Like a suspicious gravestone on turn 4 that can be a Pogo Rider, a Hearty class zombie heroe saving 3 brains for the trick phase, a Sneaky heroe that can possibly have the Deadly superpower in hand, etc).
If I see that the this situations cannot occur, I know is good for me to go and play my card.
If the Starch Lord survives (which is highly likely) it will conjure a card that I can use to further protect my Starch Lord.
Even better, my Starch Lord can conjure me ANOTHER Starch Lord.
What happens next is, I get a tremendous value advantage.
Hilariously, I don't think many people consider this card "broken" unlike many others, but as shown on the previous pic, it totally has that capability.
Same story for zombies. Most cards also need an specific situation to become OP.
Like a Team Mascot or Aerobics Instructor surviving, or a Synchronized Swimmer copying a big zombie instead of a small one.
Many small zombies surviving to be transformed by the Bad Moon Rising, etc.
Anything can be "broken", if used correctly.
Force Field can be absolutely broken with a Soul Patch, or completely useless if you are protecting a small plant against a strikethrough/overshoot zombie. (Or if it just gets overwritten with another environment).
Going Viral can be absolutely broken like on that video, or completely useless if you have no zombies on the board.
Same thing for ALL the plants and ALL the zombies.
The more experience you have at this game, the more you notice this.

I agree with both of you guys. The only thing I was pointing out, is the plant hero in that video had things going for him, and then buddy got either extremely lucky, or the cards finally fell in place so they kept and showed off this video I'm of the opinion that they had been attempting that for a while and finally got the cards. I find it extremely difficult to believe that the plant hero had no answer for 3 of those teachers, which is the only way he's able to do that for all of the amount of time and I also was surprised how much time he had in his trick phase.
I wasn't trying to imply that plants have such a huge advantage that zombies need ridiculous combo cards or op bark at the moon bs. I was just commenting on the video and the zombie hero would have been crushed if not for that combo working more or less perfectly. That was all
I know I have bias towards zombies and have bitched about certain cards being abit crazy, but anyone who spent the first week or two after clique peas came out and all I saw were those stupid bleeping bleepers game after game,..but that is no different than bad moon rising to the plant heroes, am I right? Basically everyone who could was loading up medulla nebula and vendors and praying...

Thanks for your numerous replies! I was playing so much that I really forgot that I did this post :D I have to admit I was exaggerating a bit because I had a loosing streak. However, I still hate all plants ^^ I am 100% zombie player although I am missing just a few plant cards. I don't know I just feel you don't need so much brain to play a decent plant deck compared to a decent zombie deck. For instance, the cliquepea which is yet uncounterable and can make you surrender pretty fast EVERYONE plays them ☹️ . Keyword combo. I also think that plants do not rely so much on combos like zombies. I am level 50 now without playing plants a single time but its just so boring that there are just a few inventive players. Most of them play a bean deck, doublestrike deck or sun flower spam infinite mushrooms deck. I just know the German name "Ableger" and all mushrooms turn into 3/3. If that is not enough to kill you the card occurs which transform all plants into random ones.
Soso boring please be more innovative!
