Plants Suck
Yeah, I feel better in my heart now I've expressed my opinion about this side. It isn't even one class that sucks, it's all of them. Fix Rose Buff Sunflower Fix Chomper Buff Cactus Buff Peashoo...
Strange most pc players I know, and I knew alot, kept the same alias, only using different ones for mixes, irc scrims etc. When you said high skill I thought you meant competitive play, like in a team maybe? My team topped various cod2/cod4 leagues and ladders in various gametypes back in the day. Even got an invite to the CoD2 CTF eurocup on clanbase. We also ran one of the most popular rifles only servers on CoD2 (it was called shagpad). We was pretty damned good 😉
When we wasn't busy with the above we'd be playing scrims, pugs and mixes or sat on IRC looking for them. So you could say I have plenty of experience with shooters.
So if you was 'high skill' as you claim you'd have been in a team no?
I had my own team with my IRL neighbours.
We were ranked very high on ladders but back then there weren't any and they were all revolved around kills and kill ratios. Neither of which determine skill, something you need to understand. 🙂
Me and my team, the handful of players we were constantly wiped out teams of 10 and 20, to the point where admins would refuse to let us play because we were just too good. Mods started coming into the game, silly ones and well they took over.
Call of Duty is like Doom, skill less. Unreal Tournament, and games alike don't really require a high level of skill to play. If you haven't heard of Tribes or played it, you haven't lived the same gaming life I have. Imagine being able to, with jet packs, go anywhere you like, skiing down hills and getting mid air shots all day, every day.
Your arguments, and many players alike are opposed to my balance ideas because you feel it'll make the game stale. If a balanced game makes it stale then why are all the most populated games perfectly balanced? I am not suggestion clone classes, I'm merely asking the question as to why it is fine for one side and not the other. It is the same as giving one side invisibility and not the other, that's what this game feels like sometimes with poor balance.
When I was younger I use to change my name almost every time I logged in, in order to be able to play in peace without everyone voting to kick me, or team changing to my side. I was young, I didn't like the attention or knew how to deal with it. These days I just use my real name, but back then I had an endless amount of names, on was Alias, another Unknown etc etc...
